During lockdowns, he stayed on-site to lead intensive R&D efforts. From device commissioning to full-scale mass production, his team achieved a groundbreaking zero-to-one breakthrough in localization of sports medicine sutures.

To deepen industry-academia integration and respond to national strategic needs, Donghua University and Shanghai Sanyou Medical Co., Ltd. co-established the Donghua-Sanyou Joint Innovation Center for Orthopedic Flexible Materials in July 2024.
